The Darkroom is owned and operated by Scooter, an international award winning photographer and printer who has worked for the likes of BBC, Walt Disney, Fox, Viacom (ex Warner Village), Jack Mortons (opening ceremony 2004 Greek Olympics) and Habitat UK, as well as many of the UKs leading photographers and visual artists. With over 23 years experience in the photographic industry, he can help with any of your imaging concerns at extremely competitive rates.

Photographers: Nelsons only colour and black and white fine art printing facility. If you find you are spending too much time on post production, we can scan at high resolution, colour correct, and re-touch your images, leaving you with more time to do what you do best: taking photographs.

Graphic Designers: Colour-managed high resolution, high quality scanning and accurate colour corrections and conversions. Printing up to A1 on to photo quality paper.

Artists: Limited edition runs from your original art with a high degree of colour matching and hands-on consultation. Fine art papers for multimedia applications with superior colourfastness. Copy art on to digital format for archiving, grants, scholarships and exhibition applications.

Others: Alternative printing including salt, Van Dyke, cyanotype, bromoil gum and platinum. Photographic/printing tuition (traditional and digital) in a fully equipped training facility with flexible hours and 1:1 tuition available. State of the art light/dark rooms available for hire on an hourly basis.
